This article examines variation in nasalisation patterns in Paraguayan Guaraní, distinguishing between regressive nasal harmony (productive) and progressive nasalisation (morpheme-specific allomorphy). It investigates how these processes interact with the etymological origin of roots (Guaraní vs. Spanish) using corpus data.
